First, unpack your Schlage Connect Smart Deadbolt BE469ZP, confirm the key is present, and have it close to your Controller for a fast pairing process.
Open the battery cover by sliding it upwards.
Go to the Vera app.
Open the app on your smartphone, tap “Add Device” by tapping the “+” symbol, then go to “Door Locks.”
Next, tap “New Device” and choose “Schlage Connect Smart Deadbolt BE469ZP.”
Click “Next.”
On the “Schlage Connect Smart Deadbolt BE469ZP,” hold down the Schlage button on your deadbolt until it flashes yellow, then green to confirm successful addition.
Tap “Yes” when prompted by the app to allow access and enter the 5-digit number on the Schlage and confirm pairing.
The Controller will confirm the pairing process.
Congratulations. You can now control the deadbolt with your smartphone. You can now remotely lock and unlock your door.
Once done, you can now get notifications on your smartphone whenever someone opens your Schlage deadbolt.
You can manually lock your deadbolt by inputting the five-digit number.
